SEASONS...

Ecclesiastes 3:1-11

 

Dryness and Rains are ways the Lord reminds us of different seasons in our lives...

There are dry seasons in our lives where certain things e.g (friends, resources, health and other things) seem scarce, and very out of reach.

It will look as if these times will never end, because it is so uncomfortable and rain is nowhere in sight. We know rain is not coming soon, so we just stay there helpless and hopeless expecting the worse, but after these times comes another season.

It's the Rainy season, loaded with its abundance, and freshness. The land soon forgets it's dryness within the shortest possible time.

Oh! how we love rainy days; farmers rejoice, the trees shout for joy, animals dances at the appearance of rain, there's enough to drink, give and even throw away.

Now this season comes with its own peculiar challenges, productive activities reduces, reptiles are attracted to wet environments, when it rains heavily offences arise and we begin to complain when weeds grow in their numbers.

What season are you in, are you in the dry seasons where things seems so hard and impossible or you are in your rainy season of abundance and the offences that comes with it?

 I want you to look at the beauty of each season and enjoy it, because, as each one is different, so is its experiences and privileges.

No season lasts forever, so is your particular season, it's just for a short while.

God is able to step in and change your undesirable seasons to favourable ones.

    BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART Text: Matthew 5:5-8; Hebrews 12:14 “Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God” Matthew 5:8 The statement in Matthew 5:8 was spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ as part of what is called the Beatitudes among “the Sermon on the Mounts”. Here Jesus was addressing not only His disciples but also the multitude of people who gathered to hear what He, Christ, had to say about the heavenly Kingdom.
